Metadata and Discovery

We create, curate, and manage descriptive metadata for discovery purposes supporting a range of systems and formats. We ensure metadata is interoperable with national and international discovery systems and strive to maintain data integrity and consistency across a variety of systems and metadata schemas. Metadata and Discovery comprises of two teams; Metadata for Content Management and Metadata for Digital and Special Collections.  Through these two channels we aim to make it easy to search, find, access, and discover all content and collections acquired by and licensed to the University of Manchester.
