Free delivery with Blackwell's and wellbeing and discount updates

Blackwells shop

Supporting Blackwell’s

Due to recent developments, Blackwell’s is now offering free same-day delivery to addresses in the local area (contact-free). This includes Fallowfield, Hulme, Chorlton, Victoria Park etc.  If it is in stock with them, staff or students can order by phone before 3pm for free same-day delivery. The phone number is 0161 274 3331. This goes for book bundles, textbooks, 3 for 2s, new titles, single books or anything else they have in. They will still do free delivery further afield but can't guarantee same-day at this time. Their driver may be able to take it or it may need to go in the post.

Wellbeing

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is the most common cancer in the UK and mainly affects women, but men can get it too. Breast cancer can have a number of symptoms, but usually shows as a lump or thickening in the breast tissue (although most breast lumps are not cancerous). If cancer is detected at an early stage, it can be treated before it spreads to nearby parts of the body. Research has found that as well as reducing the risk of developing breast cancer, exercise can lower the risk of the disease coming back (recurrence) if you’ve already been diagnosed. Within our wellbeing resources is supportive information on breast cancer from leading specialist charities such as Prevent Breast Cancer. Professor Cary Coooper, talks about mental health in the workplace in this latest video ahead of #WorldMentalHealthDay.  Although the video was made for NatWest Bank’s group employees, they have given permission for it to be used to highlight the importance of mental health wellbeing at work. Visit staff wellbeing news for the latest updates and notifications of online events.
