Email signature guidelines
You should format your email signature according to university guidelines. Read the guidelines here:
Add an image to your email signature
Step 1. Download image
Right-click on a thumbail image below and 'Save image as' to your device.
Step 2. Add to your Outlook signature
- Create and add a signature to messages (Microsoft website)
- Add one of the images above using the 'Edit signature' tool.
- Add a link to the image by right clicking on the image and selecting ‘Insert link’

Step 3. Add accessibility information (optional)
The following steps can be completed using the 'Edit signature' tool. Add alternative text that describes the image contents by:
- Right clicking image and selecting ‘Format picture’.
- Click ‘Alt text’ tab.
- Enter one of the following:
- Imagine 2030 – The University of Manchester Library
- Manchester Digital Collections – The University of Manchester Library
- John Rylands Research Institute and Library – The University of Manchester Library
