Work to address the availability issues affecting some University websites and online services is progressing smoothly and the main external University website is now back online.

Our IT teams are continuing work to restore the remaining affected websites and online services, including completing the necessary technical and security checks. Some services may remain temporarily unavailable while this work is carried out to ensure they can be restored safely.

We recognise the disruption this may have caused and thank you for your continued patience and understanding. If a service you need remains unavailable, please be assured that our teams are working to restore access as quickly and safely as possible. We will continue to share updates through Connect and StaffNet as work progresses

We are currently experiencing availability issues affecting some University websites and online services. 

This is due to precautionary technical work being carried out in response to an issue affecting organisations globally. Our IT teams are assessing University services and have been working since yesterday to take appropriate action to maintain their security and availability. 

As a precaution, some services may be temporarily unavailable while this essential work is completed. We recognise that this may cause disruption to your work and apologise for any inconvenience. 

There is no action you need to take but as ever please remain vigilant to any suspicious activity.  

If you are unable to access a University website or service, please try again later. Our teams are working to restore affected services as soon as it is appropriate to do so, and we will continue to provide updates via Connect and StaffNet.
