08 May 2026

This programme, run internally by the University and featuring a module delivered by the Library, asks current members of staff to reflect on the wider context of higher education, teaching and learning. It is free, and it can form an important part of your continuing professional development.

To manage demand, the Library runs an internal application process. If you are interested in the programme, please:

  1. Discuss your interest with your line manager, as you will need to attend sessions during working hours.
  2. Write a piece of no more than 250 words, that sets out how participation in the programme will benefit your role and/or development goals, and impact positively on staff/students you work with. (You will be able to reuse this for the formal PgCert application, if you are selected to go forward this year).

Please register your interest by completing the Library PGCert in HE form by 2pm, Tuesday 16 June 2026. You will have a response from the Library by Tuesday 23 June 2026 letting you know if you have been successful this time. If you are successful, you will then need to apply using the official PGCertHE form by Tuesday 30 June 2026.

If you have not been selected in previous years and are still interested, please feel free to apply again!
