Joule Library and Crawford House updates

A huge thank you to everyone who helped out recently with our final clearance of Joule Library.

The latest news on Crawford House is that following delays a contractor has been appointed and there is a revised program of works which means that the space will now be available to Library staff in January 2023.

In light of this later opening date we will be keeping some spaces at Joule Library open on swipe card access. Until 30 November 2022 the E floor Collaboration Space, D floor bookable offices and D38a , will remain available and furnished (including IT kit) for staff to use. The Collection Care Team will continue to have access to Joule Library until the move to Crawford House is complete. 

It’s likely that the Library will be the last operational team in the whole of the Sackville Street Building. If you can’t find a suitable alternative location within our other buildings and do need to work at Joule Library, we ask that you continue to follow all lone working procedures. Please be certain to adhere to the control measures introduced in the Risk Assessment circulated to staff on behalf of Ciaran Pook on 8 July 2022.
