Three new Collections groups established

Over the last few months the Library Executive and Leadership Teams have been reviewing the internal governance of our collections, led by Sandra Bracegirdle, John Hodgson and Ciaran Talbot with support from Mark Elson.
Our collections are immense and complex and while the strategic planning for the collections continues to lie with the Executive we felt that a wider structure was needed to support this work. In response to feedback and consultation three groups have now been established to provide cross-Library oversight, management and engagement with the collections.
These groups are the Collections Group, providing oversight for the delivery of the Library’s strategic approach to collections; the Collections Operations Group, with responsibility for the management of the Library‘s physical collections; and the Collections Engagement Group responsible for the promotion of all our resources, physical and online.
We will also be looking for three people who would like to volunteer to take on administrative support for the groups - if you are interested please contact Deborah Morrissey in the first instance.
