Main Library to close for electrical maintenance 23 and 24 July 2022

As part of planned electrical maintenance there will be a complete electrical shutdown for all services within Main Library (all areas) on the weekend of 23 July at 7am to 24 July 2022 at 4pm.
Main Library will be closed for both days of that weekend.
This will also affect users who wish to connect to a PC from home using Remote Desktop Connection - not only will users not be able to remotely connect to PCs on site during the shutdown, but Main Library PCs will also require manually switching back on once power has been restored to the building.
If you are not on campus to manually switch a machine back on, please ask an onsite colleague to do this. If this is not an option please call IT Services on +44 (0)161 306 5544 and provide full details (location and IP address) so they can liaise with Library staff to switch the machine on.
