Wellbeing

The online book club launched in May and the next meeting will take place on Friday, 13 November 12.30pm -1.30pm on Zoom. They will spend some time revisiting Girl Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo. Theirr next book is Sapiens – A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari.

November is Men's Health Month, and a webinar on Thursday, 11 November will look at a number of key health issues that affect men in particular. It is available to all staff, whether attending to learn more about their own health or to support the health of others. The online 1-hour session will start at 10:30am.

Music, Health and Wellbeing workshop - Wed 11 November, 1pm-4.15pm

Has music helped you cope during the pandemic? You’re not alone – a growing body of research tells us that music profoundly impacts wellbeing. You can explore the power of music in the ESRC “Music, Health & Wellbeing workshop”, on Wednesday 11 November. Speakers include Prof Caroline Bithell (SALC), Prof John Keady (FBMH), Dr Virginia Tandy (Director of the Creative Ageing Development Agency) and Music therapists from the Manchester Camerata orchestra.
