Neon Sonnets at John Rylands Library

14 Apr 2016

The John Rylands Library and RNCM light up the Bard on Thursday, 12 May (6-9pm)

Four images of Shakespeare in primary colours

As night falls, the beautiful John Rylands Library will be illuminated with spectacular light, music and movement as the Royal Northern College of Music performs compositions inspired by Shakespeare’s works, for their Neon Sonnets event. Immerse yourself in the lights and sounds for a contemporary take on one of the country’s greatest writers.

Stunning visual and audio performances will guide you through the Library’s beautifully historic spaces and concluding in the neo-gothic splendour of the Historic Reading Room.

To make sure you see everything, the full one-hour programme starts on-the-hour at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm. If you’re just making a flying visit, drop in anytime between 6 and 9pm and a member of staff will direct you to the next performance.

Free entry. No need to book, just turn up.

In association with Royal Northern College of Music and Cundall Light 4.
