As a signatory of Plan S, UKRI is committed to enabling more open and equitable academic publishing. The funder's latest policy, targeting long-form publications, is intended to accelerate the transition to Open Access.

The Library is leading a project to support the implementation of this new policy, with colleagues from Research Services, Engagement, Collection Strategies, and Digital Development working together to provide support and guidance to researchers, including action they need to take.

To read details about the policy and available funding, please visit the Library website: UKRI's new Open Access policy: Long-form outputs.

UKRI will be providing further updates over the coming months and the Library will be updating Schools when new information is released.

If you have any questions about the policy, please contact the Library’s Open Access team via libraryresearch@manchester.ac.uk
