Support equality, diversity and inclusion by completing your MyView information

To support and inform equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) activity happening across the University, the Library EDI group is asking all Library colleagues to check, update and complete their equality information in MyView by Monday, 28 February 2022. The Library aims to be the first University area to achieve 100% completion.

Jane Gallagher, Head of Digital Special Collections and Services and Library EDI Group Co-Lead, said: “To ensure a more equitable and diverse workplace, it’s vital that the University understands the needs of its staff. As a disabled person, in the past I have not been very active in completing all of my EDI data but was inspired by Banji Adewumi’s talk at our October Open Meeting, when she emphasised the value of accurate data in making positive changes to our institution. I would like to encourage colleagues to ensure their EDI information is up to date on MyView so that we can support all our current staff and work towards a more equitable and diverse Library and University.”

How to update your MyView information 

Updating your information in MyView should only take a few minutes. To update your information: 

• Login to MyView 
• Open the menu at the top left of the screen 
• Click ‘My Details’ 
• Click ‘My Equality Details’ 
• Review the information listed and update it if necessary 
• Click ‘Submit Change’
