COVID-19 and volunteering support for University research and the NHS
This is the first of a number of calls for volunteers wishing to offer their specialist skills away from their core University role towards supporting urgent COVID-19 clinical research and clinical laboratory services in the NHS.
You will be aware that in response to the coronavirus pandemic, the University has convened a COVID-19 research rapid response group to bring together the research and innovation strengths in Greater Manchester. More information can be found in the Dean’s message to FBMH (23.03.20)
We are now seeking scientists with laboratory skills.
Please email: CV19-volunteer@manchester.ac.uk if you are able to help.
We do need to ensure that teaching commitments are covered and therefore please would you ensure that you have agreement from your Head of Division or Department to volunteer in this way.

Over the next few weeks we anticipate seeking other specialist skills (e.g. clinical trial specialists, epidemiologists, data scientists and project managers).
This activity is being coordinated by the FBMH social responsibility team, led by Dr Hawys Williams
