Workshops to promote apprenticeships and skills academies

06 Feb 2013

Key recruitment decision-makers and members of HR staff are to be invited to a series of workshops in February and March.

In response to an approach made last year by colleagues in one of the laboratory-based disciplines, HR has been working with the National Apprenticeship Service and New Economy to develop a series of workshops to promote apprenticeships and academies.

Each workshop will consider funding streams and feature a presentation from a representative of an industrial sector or university which has successfully developed an apprenticeship programme. The audience will be key recruitment decision-makers and HR colleagues.

Colleagues will receive invitations.

The first workshops will take place on the following dates across the campus:

Technical

  • 28 February (2-3.30pm)
  • 1 March (2 – 3.30pm)

Administrative

  • 6 March (10.30 – 12pm)
  • 8 March (10–11.30am and 2–3.30pm)

Manual/Catering

  • 11 March (2–3.30pm)
  • 14 March (10–12.30pm)
