Don’t miss Manchester’s highly acclaimed Chamber Choir as they explore the music of the 16th century, including Tomás Luis de Victoria’s Requiem.

Ad Solem has an excellent reputation within the University as well as further afield and is regularly engaged in concerts and services around the country. The choir consists of the most talented choral singers in the university, with around 25 members who are re-auditioned every year.

Relax and enjoy a free concert at The Martin Harris Centre as part of Wellbeing Week.

Gamelan Degung is a small gamelan orchestra unique to Sunda, the mountainous region of West Java, Indonesia. The performers are second year music students who are studying gamelan as part of their degree course.

They will be joined by Bhupinder Singh Chaggar, an exceptionally talented tabla player based in Leeds. He is one of the leading disciples of the renowned tabla maestro and Gharanadar of the Benares gharana, Pandit Sharda Sahai Ji. The concert will include a selection of traditional and contemporary Sundanese repertoire, as well as original pieces collectively composed by the group.

FREE – no need to book, just turn up.
