Fairtrade Fortnight + Change to opening times + Closures due to maintenance work

Fairtrade Fortnight coming soon

Fairtrade Fortnight is fast approaching (28 February – 13 March 2011) and this year we are asking you to focus on cotton. Less than 1% of cotton fashion sold on the high street bears the Fairtrade mark, whilst small-scale cotton farmers are struggling to survive on less than $2 a day. You can make a difference by looking for the Fairtrade mark and ensuring that the cotton farmers receive a fair and stable price for their product.

In support, this Fairtrade fortnight, we will be offering 20% off all of our Fairtrade cotton products available in the Gift Shop, University Place. This includes all University hoodies, T-shirts and reusable cotton bags.

There will be plenty of other offers and events going on across campus so keep your eye on Eupdate or the FoodOnCampus website over the next couple of weeks for more details.
