We're delighted to tell you about a new forum for everyone interested in public engagement at The University of Manchester.
"As part of our commitment to coordinating and supporting public engagement activities across the University, I am delighted to launch a new forum for everyone to share and network cross faculties and institutes." (Professor Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice-Chancellor)
In a joint initiative by the Manchester Beacon and The University of Manchester, we have set up a campus-wide email list. The idea is for public engagement practitioners to share their experience and knowledge, to help and talk to each other, and to share best practice.
This mailing list is a first step, to get communication going and help build our public engagement community, and we hope that further initiatives, such as a web-based forum or wiki, will follow.
To keep things focused, membership of the email-list is by invitation only.
