A welcome return for Robin Ireland of the Lindsays, in a sunny, uplifting postscript to this season’s Mendelssohn quartets. The Danels complete their Beethoven cycle with his final quartet masterpiece, including the famous ‘Muss es sein?... Es muss sein!’ episode (Must it be?... It must be!). And to round off the concert year, Brahms at his grandest and most thrilling.
