Lecture series and discussion group facilitated by Humanities researchers.

 

Lecture Series

The popular media would have us believe that we are overwhelmed by global pressures beyond our control. The speakers for this series of controversial talks will confront some major questions, present the different arguments and their justifications and challenge simplistic answers. Be prepared to change your mind – possibly several times!

Discussion Group

Rebecca Ehata

A series of discussion based on the first four lectures of Global Crises? for those who wish to continue the debate. An opportunity to think more deeply about the issues, to discuss different viewpoints, and decide what your answer to each of the questions raised might be. Each of these discussions will be based on questions and readings selected by the lecturers.

Four Wednesdays fortnightly 6.30 – 8.30pm from 15 October 2008, in the Samuel Alexander Building.
