Literary events during February and March.

This Friday (22 February) University of Manchester academic and Centre PhD student Ian Pople will appear with fellow poet Chris Woods at a lunchtime reading at Manchester Central Library. The event is in the Committee Room on the second floor, is free of charge and will run from 1pm to 2pm.

Soon-to-be-published novelist and MA in Creative Writing alumnus Chris Killen is featured in Comma Press's latest new writing anthology Brace, and will appear at its launch at the Cornerhouse on Thursday 28 February. The event begins at 6pm with screenings of short film adaptations of stories and poems commissioned by Comma Film, before readings by Chris and other Brace authors at 7pm. Tickets are £3.50.

Finally, on Saturday 1 March the Centre's MA students Laura Webb and Rebecca Perry will take part in the poetry and music event 'Poets and Players' at the Whitworth Art Gallery. The event starts at 2.30pm and is free of charge.
