Last chance to nominate: Volunteer of the Year Awards 2023

24 Feb 2023

Nominations for this year's awards will close on Monday, 6 March 2023

Volunteer of the Year award winners 2022

It is the final opportunity to nominate someone you know who volunteers for our University’s Volunteer of the Year Awards – you can even nominate yourself!

Celebrating the very best of volunteering, the awards give our University and community partners the opportunity to recognise those who epitomise what it means to make a difference. There are three individual categories: staff, student, and alumni; and one group category for students.

Last year’s staff winner Dr Florian Walter supports those with serious mental health concerns through an online support helpline. Our student winner, Robert Cartwright-Speakman supported students from disadvantaged areas to apply to study Medicine.

Be inspired by the stories of our past winners and place your nomination on the Volunteer of the Year Awards website.

How to nominate:

  • Entries to be submitted to the volunteering website
  • Candidates can self-nominate or be nominated by a third party
  • Individuals and teams (for student group only) can enter
  • If you experiences any issues accessing the nomination form, please email volunteers@manchester.ac.uk
