Payroll Giving

One of the charitities that a number of staff support is Emmeline's Pantry, a Manchester based foodbank for women. They have recently launched their Christmas Appeal but you can also donate via the University's nationally commended payroll giving scheme. Over the coming weeks we will be sharing more stories of the fantastic charities you support and signposting to various Christmas Appeals.

Wellbeing

Employee Assistance Programme launch

The new Employee Assistance Programme launches on 1 November. This will enable you to talk in confidence with qualified counsellors and advisors, as well as access to a range of online resources to support health and wellbeing. The new service will cover emotional and physical health, mental health, relationships, managing stress and anxiety, money issues and more.

Why not book on the Men’s Health webinar on Friday 19/11/2021 11:00 - 12:00. The session will be delivered by We Are Wellbeing, who will provide information about men's health including an overview of common health conditions and how to take steps to stay healthy and well.  This webinar is open to all staff, however they identify, and is suitable for people who want to learn more about their own health but also how they can support others.

For further information see staff benefits and wellbeing.

This week you can watch a back care session with Jamie Miller, the University physiotherapist. This was orginally launched last year but still incredibly relevant to back maintenance!
