Manchester plays host to leading graduate recruiters

Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell addressed an audience of 500 of the UK’s leading graduate employers at the Association of Graduate Recruiters’ Student Recruitment Conference

In her keynote speech on 23 June, the President and Vice-Chancellor spoke of the University’s commitment to improve the employability of our students and graduates and the importance of working in partnership with employers.

The conference, held in Manchester, was attended by representatives from organisations such as the Civil Service, Thales, Allen & Overy, John Lewis Partnership, Jaguar Land Rover, IBM, Teach First, Siemens, Diageo and many more of the country’s top graduate employers.

The University’s Careers Service was one of the conference sponsors and delivered workshops on recruiting international students and embedding employability into the curriculum.
