See Signatures Youth Dance Trail for free

08 Jul 2016

Dance Manchester’s annual youth dance showcase takes on a new format this year as part of the UDance National Festival

Signatures, made up of Derby High School, Falinge Park High School, Wright Robinson College, as well as Delusion Dance Company, Flixton Girls School, MCR Creative and Media Academy, Rivington and Blackrod High School, Turnkpike Youth Dance and Twenty 10 will perform the Signatures Youth Dance Trail, gravitating to spaces around The Lowry as opposed to the usual setting of a stage.

Stellarium is Dance Manchester and The University of Manchester’s new youth dance performance project bringing the arts and science together through dance. The choreography is based on the knowledge of leading astrophysicists, Dr Rowan Smith & Dr Helen Mason on the subject of how stars are formed and ‘our star’, the Sun. This has then been interpreted into movement by Greater Manchester based choreographer, Bridget Fiske.

See Signatures Youth Dance Trail for free at The Lowry, on Sunday, 10 July (from 3.45pm)!
