Making a Difference Awards 2016: the shortlist

Everyone on the shortlist is invited to the award ceremony on 11 May
A big thank you to all those who entered the Making a Difference Awards 2016. We are delighted to reveal the individuals and teams who have made it on to the Awards shortlist.
This year, we received over 150 entries across 9 categories including: inspiring communities; benefit to society through research; environmental sustainability and contribution to widening participation.
Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted, the quality of entries was particularly high and competition was strong.
The Making a Difference Awards recognise and celebrate the many different types of social responsibility achievements of the University’s academic and professional support staff, students and alumni.
All shortlisted entries are invited to the award ceremony on 11 May, where the overall winners will be announced and our President and Vice-Chancellor Dame Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, will present entrants with their award.
