Winter Warmers – ends this week!

07 Dec 2015

Last chance to donate your Winter Warmers to homeless charity Lifeshare

Mittens

There is still time to donate your Winter Warmers to Lifeshare - until Friday, 11 December.

'Winter Warmers' is your chance to clear out your food cupboards and wardrobe and help the homeless and vulnerable people of Manchester.

Over the past few months, the MECD Faculty Project Team has collected clothing and food to help support local charity, Lifeshare, throughout the winter months.

There has been an incredible response from staff and students who have donated their unwanted clothing and food items.

If you wish to make a donation, the charity is in need of the following items:

  • Food and drink: Tea, coffee, sugar, cereals, instant noodles, pasta, beans, rice, tuna, tinned meats and meals (i.e. soups, curry, chilli, meatballs and hotdogs)
  • Clothes: Socks, jeans, coats, hoodies, hats, scarves, gloves, jumpers, backpacks, sleeping bags and blankets.

Pop your items in a bag and drop them off at either of the following locations by Friday, 11 December:

  • MECD Faculty Project Team: B43, Sackville Street Building, North Campus
  • IT Support Centre: G41, Kilburn Building, South Campus
