Adam Woof, Operations Manager of The Chancellors Collection within the Directorate of Estates and Facilities, collected the Tourism Star of the Year Award at the Visit Manchester Awards on 12 November 2015 at Hotel Football.

The Award recognises individuals who demonstrate an exceptional customer experience and offer visitors high standards of customer service. Adam provides supportive and motivational leadership to his team to deliver high quality locally and ethically sourced food with excellent standards of customer service at high profile VIP events for the University.

The Chancellors Collection has grown to consist of Christies Bistro, Café Rylands in John Rylands Library, Broomcroft, Whitworth Hall, the cafes within The Alliance Manchester Business School and the café within Manchester Cancer Research Centre.

In June 2015, the Acorn Awards recognised Adam as one of the hospitality industry's most promising stars under 30.

Alison Aucott, Head of Hospitality and Events, said: "Adam has a natural talent for hospitality and delivers his events in many historic iconic venues that present certain challenges. These challenges never phase Adam: no matter how difficult, he will deliver with a smile on his face and a committed team behind him. A true hospitality professional and a much deserved award."
