147 bus - temporary change in frequency of service

From Thursday, 27 August, the frequency of the 147 bus service will change from 10 minutes to 15 minutes

The closure of both Oxford Road and the Mancunian Way has severely affected the reliability of the 147 bus service. The use of additional vehicles has not improved this and it is clear that the 10 minute frequency service cannot be operated reliably in the current road conditions. In view of this, the Traffic Commissioner has approved a temporary change in frequency from 10 minutes to 15 minutes.

This change is likely to remain in place until works on the Mancunian Way have been completed, however it will be reviewed once Oxford Road has re-opened on 6 September. The evening timetable is unaffected.
