Shake up your wardrobe at the Rutherford SWISH

31 Mar 2015

As the seasons change, it's time to update your wardrobe at the seasonal Rutherford ‘Swish’ (clothes swap) in the Rutherford Room on Thursday, 23 April (12.30–1.30pm)

SWISH

For all of you who are updating your Spring/Summer wardrobe or clearing out your Autumn/Winter threads over Easter - don’t throw them away; save them for 23 April and “swish” them for other pre-loved items!

Admission

  • £2 if you bring items
  • £3 if you don't

Proceeds will be shared between the Wood Street Mission and Cornerstone Homeless Charity.

How does it work?

Bring along any good quality items of clothing which you no longer wear/use (handbags, shoes, tops, dresses etc), pay a donation which goes to a good cause, and then help yourself to any items which colleagues have brought in which take your fancy! Donations can be dropped off at Rutherford Building on the morning of the event, or you can put them out as you arrive.

Any leftover items of clothing will be donated to the Wood Street Mission/Cornerstone, and will be put to good use by local families. Please feel free to also bring in items to be donated straight to charity: good quality children's and young adult clothing, baby equipment, bedding and toiletries are always welcome.
