The Senior Leadership Team Get It – do you?

01 Oct 2014

The University’s Senior Leadership Team has signed the We Get It Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment Pledge

Senior Leadership Team

The pledge is part of a joint campaign with the Students Union, launched earlier this year.

Sexual harassment is a hugely important issue which requires real action so the University, including Dame Nancy Rothwell, Equality and Diversity, and the Executive Team from the Students’ Union, are working together to make campus a safe and welcoming environment.

We believe all staff and students have the right to be part of a safe and secure working and learning environment. We believe that you should never have to put up with sexual harassment and take all reports of sexual harassment very seriously.

There are trained Harassment Advisors that you can speak to in confidence, and you can also access other sexual harassment support services.

We are now asking individuals and teams to come forward and sign the pledge.

Once you have signed the pledge you can show your support by wearing a wristband.

You can sign the pledge online and collect your wristband at one of the following locations:

  • Staff Training and Development Unit, 2nd Floor  Humanities Bridgeford Street
  • HR Services, 2nd Floor, Simon Building, Brunswick Street
  • Pensions Office, Room G.029 John Owens Building
  • Fallowfield Campus Owens Park Reception, 293 Wilmslow Road Fallowfield
  • The Atrium
  • Students Union
  • The University Library
  • Joule Library
  • International Society
  • Learning Commons
  • Armitage Centre
  • Sugden Sports Centre

Just take along your confirmation email and show your support.

If you can’t make it to one of the locations above and would like a wristband, contact the Equality and Diversity Team on 306 5857 or equalityanddiversity@manchester.ac.uk
