Keen cook Jemma Fielding has her recipe published along with top chefs

Jemma Fielding

A much-loved recipe created by Jemma Fielding, Manchester Medical School’s Postgraduate Administrator, has been featured alongside recipes contributed by top chefs, such as Heston Blumenthal, Paul Hollywood and James Martin in a new charity cookbook.

To celebrate the company’s 50th birthday, kitchen gadget supremo Lakeland asked its customers to send in original recipes they’ve created, or perhaps a secret family recipe handed down through the generations.

Jemma submitted a favourite recipe for king prawn linguine with chilli, garlic and asparagus and was thrilled to find out her recipe had been successful.

Jemma said: “This means the world to me! I am obsessed with food and have always wanted to write my own cookbook to pass down to my daughter.

“I am also hoping to get on Masterchef next year; I got through to the auditions last year but didn’t quite make it to the shows. I have submitted my application for next year’s show and hope that this competition win may help as Greg Wallace from Masterchef also has a recipe in the book!”

  • If you would like to attempt Jemma’s recipe, Lakeland’s 50th Anniversary Recipe Book is available to buy online and all proceeds will be donated to Children in Need.
