Manchester Museum Big Saturday - Under the Sea

Manchester Museum are holding a Big Saturday on 25th January between 11am-4pm on a Under the Sea theme

A day bursting with hands-on craft and art activities for all the family, inspired by the Coral; Something Rich and Strange exhibition.  Come along and meet experts and hear the under the sea stories, find out more about the importance of coral and the magnificent creatures that live under the sea.  Get creative and make under the sea creatures, and help to reconstruct a fossil reef.

See the amazing hyperbolic crocheted coral reef in the exhibition and join artist Lucy Curscough to create your own crochet coral pieces.

Join artist Rachael Elwell from 11am-12.30pm and experiment with spirograph and texture layering drawing, with Rachael sharing some of her techniques!
