University selected as an NVIDIA CUDA Research Centre

Award recognises our growing use of GPU computing across multiple research fields
We are pleased to announce that our University has been chosen as an official NVIDIA CUDA Research Centre. We are joining institutions at the forefront of the world’s most innovative and important scientific research.
CUDA – a parallel computing platform and programming model, enables a dramatic increase in computing performance by harnessing the power of the GPU (graphics processing unit). As a CUDA Research Centre we have been recognised as a university that has a growing community of researchers that embrace and utilise GPU computing across multiple research fields.
This award is a reflection of the excellent research being enabled by the use of GPU computing within the University and we are proud to be recognised for our rich history and continuing development of high end compute and visualization.
