Digital capabilities
The development themes below were identified as key priorities for Library colleagues through an anonymised review of Personal Learning and Development Plans (PLDPs) submitted as part of the 2023/2024 Performance and Development Review (PDR) cycle. This analysis revealed a strong, cross-directorate interest in strengthening digital capabilities to meet both current and future demands in library services.
Themes
- Enhancing skills in specific software, systems, and technologies - e.g., Microsoft 365, data analysis tools.
- Developing AI skills and exploring AI applications in information services.
- Improving digital content creation and management - e.g. video production, social media.
- Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.
- Digital Wellbeing.
