The World Reimagined Sculptures in the RACE Centre Library
05 Sep 2022
The Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE Centre in Central Library is hosting three globe artworks as part of a UK-wide charitable art education project.

The World Reimagined invites the public to explore the UK’s relationship with the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans, its impact on UK society; and how we can take action to make racial justice a reality.
Sculpture Trails featuring over 103 outdoor globe sculptures made by artists, and 170+ smaller learning globes made by schools and communities, have launched across the UK. In Manchester, there are 15 learning globes to discover, on display in venues across the city until the 31st October 2022.
The globes on display in the RACE Centre have been created by HMP Manchester, E-Act Royton & Crompton Academy, and Unity Community Primary School.
