AMBS Teaching Assistant Awards 2025/26
The ‘AMBS Teaching Assistant Award’ recognises the exceptional contributions of AMBS TAs to student learning and the university’s commitment to a transformative student experience. This award recognises TAs who demonstrate outstanding teaching and celebrates their significant role in supporting academic success and enhancing the educational experience for students.
The nomination process for the 2025/26 award is now open. Who can apply?
- All TAs who have taught at Alliance Manchester Business School during the 2025/26 academic year.
- TAs who have a clear interest in pursuing an academic career.
- TAs who are able to show engagement with all four award criteria, with exceptional practice in at least one. The criteria can be found here.
- Applications must include a 300-word reflective statement from the applicant and a 100-word supporting statement from a Course Unit Lead the TA has taught for.
Why should TAs apply?
Winning the TA Award is a great step toward professional recognition, supporting future applications for AFHEA or FHEA with Advance HE.
Award winners will:
- Receive a commemorative certificate.
- Be formally recognised at an AMBS Graduation Event and the Christmas Staff Awards.
- Strengthen their CV and academic job applications by demonstrating a strong commitment to teaching excellence.
