Global MBA

The Global MBA

The Operations team are responsible for delivery and support when applicants become students through to Graduation.  They handle everything from student support, complaints, organising workshops to setting up Blackboard courses for approx. 1500 students on the MBA programme.  There are both AMBS faculty and adjuncts involved in the delivery of the programme, there are different roles including: course convenor, workshop tutor, project supervisor, marker. Academics are involved with: developing course content, delivering both face and virtual workshops and online lectures.  Face to face workshops usually take place in: Manchester, Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore with a team of academics flying to the different locations to deliver intensive 3-day workshops.  

Towards the end of the programme, project supervisors work with students in groups of approx. 5 on a group project.  Academics are members of Exam Boards and Programme Committee and are invited to annual course reviews. Your contacts are:

The Student Support team provide support to students and organise induction, workshop and Graduation events.

The Programme Management and Delivery ensure staff are enrolled onto Blackboard courses, send out contracts and WAM letters and process academic claims.  They order learning materials e.g. e-books and case studies for students and provide administrative support to academics.

The Scheduling and Operational Delivery team schedules workshops and liaises with academics on dates and flights as well as organising our workshops in the Manchester campus.

The Assessments and Progression team organise assessment, moderation and student review boards, administer the final group project.
