Professional Services Support
Michelle Kipling, School Operations Manager, has overall responsibility for the administration of the Divisions.
Each Division has a Divisional Operations Manager (DM) who is supported by a Divisional Operations Adminstrator (DOA) and Operations Assistants (OA).
- Co-ordinating recruitment of both academic and PSS Staff.
- Working with the ahts and SAG Heads on the development of the WAM.
- Supporting the Head of Division in setting the Divisional budget as part of the annual planning process.
- Managing the selection and allocation of Teaching Assistants working with the School's Resource Manager.
- Managing the recruitment and payment of Bought in Teaching working with the ahts and SAG Heads.
- Working with administrators in the activity centres to ensure that programme needs are fulfilled.
The DOA is responsible for the following activities:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the division.
- Supporting the Head of Division.
- DMT Committee Secretary.
- Monitoring accounts and maintaining financial records.
- Providing administrative support to academics within the division in line with the OA role (administrative assistance with respect to research, teaching and admin roles).
The role of the OA is to provide administrative support for the academic staff within the division. Each academic will be advised by their DM who their main OA support should be through. Your first point of contact for general administrative support should be your OA. For any specific in relation to the above roles, please contact the relevant member of the team.
