Executive Education
In Executive Education, we offer customised programmes, short business courses and Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeships.
In our custom portfolio, we design and deliver development programmes for some of the world’s most well-known organisations, including the NHS, BP, National Trust, DWF, Vidrala, The China Development Bank and Audi. Many of our programmes are bespoke designs for our clients but we also run short business course and Senior Leader Apprenticeship programmes.
We have an extensive portfolio of short business courses tailored for busy professionals with varying commitments.
Designed to be impactful and accessible, these courses cover key areas such as leadership, digital marketing, data and AI, ESG, and innovation. Delivered in bite-sized formats, they empower you to gain practical, actionable insights without the long-term commitment.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your leadership skills, embrace digital transformation, or explore cutting-edge sustainability strategies, these courses are the perfect opportunity to elevate your expertise.
All our programmes are delivered in Manchester (in our custom-built Executive Education Centre) as well as nationally and internationally.
The Financial Times (FT) Executive Education rankings have become one of the most important drivers of the executive education business. These rankings are the only source of detailed comparative information on Executive Education providers and therefore one of the key tools used in provider selection. In 2024, we were ranked 7th in the UK and 54th in the world. From re-entering this ranking last year, we are steadily improving, increasing our position by 10 places globally.
We offer two Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship Programmes:
Senior Leader Apprenticeship Postgraduate Diploma Senior Leadership
This 18-month Senior Leader Apprenticeship focuses on strategic leadership development and is funded through the Apprenticeship Levy, with an optional Masters (MSc) in Senior Leadership.
This part-time, blended learning programme provides aspiring senior leaders with new knowledge and skills to advance their career and includes a postgraduate diploma.
Senior Leader Apprenticeship Elizabeth Garrett Anderson
The Elizabeth Garrett Anderson (EGA) Programme is an award-winning leadership development programme. It is designed for senior leaders and managers who are working in health and social care.
Since 2013, over 2,509 leaders have participated in the EGA standard pathway. The newly developed Senior Leader Apprenticeship Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, provides an alternative pathway, building on the success of the existing programme and incorporating the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a senior leader apprenticeship award.
The two-year part-time Level 7 Apprenticeship is funded by the Apprenticeship Levy. The programme leads to a Masters (MSc) in Healthcare Leadership, from The University of Manchester, and NHS Leadership Academy Award in Senior Healthcare Leadership.
We love to know about the teaching and research going on around the school so we can build our programmes around this as much as possible so do get in touch and say hello once you settle in.
