Join us on Thursday, 19 September to hear how our researchers are improving technology for detecting landmines for a safer world

Landmines and other explosive remnants of war still contaminate some 60 countries. There is no way to know where landmines are: they might be buried or surface-laid, placed by hand, hidden in buildings or scattered from vehicles or helicopters, in regular or irregular patterns. 

Professor Tony Peyton and Dr Liam Marsh will discuss the possibilities for improvements in technologies looking beyond metal detection to ensure demining is as efficient and safe as possible.
