Discounts

The University offers you two ways to access a wide range of discounts. We have UniDiscounts and Vivup.

UniDiscounts reflect direct offers to the University. If you know of any local providers who may wish to share offers please email staffbenefits@manchester.ac.uk

One of our popular local offers is Florence the Fiat 500. The classic Fiat is available for hire for weddings or events. If you’re looking for something a bit different, Florence is the ideal wedding car and will turn heads for all the right reasons, making your day extra special. It could be your something blue! Covering the Manchester area, they are able to offer an exclusive 10% discount for University staff, within a 20mile radius. Fitted with a picnic basket on the rear luggage rack, you could even enjoy a glass of champagne with the roof open! (Manchester weather permitting…) A Bose speaker can play your favourite songs. The Fiat 500 will chauffeur the bride or groom to the wedding ceremony and then onto the reception.

Since 2021 you have also been able to access lifestyle savings from the provider Vivup. If you haven’t already registered, simply visit vivup.co.uk and sign up with your university or personal email address. You will need to enter your employee/payroll number when registering - you can find this on your payslip online or front of your staff ID card. You can also access locally negotiated offers via UniDiscounts. One of the most popular offers with Vivup is their discounts on supermarkets. You can currently save between 4-7% with eVouchers at Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury, Waitrose, Marks and Spencer and Morrisons. This can be a help to us all with the ever increasing costs on day to day essentials.
