Am I eligible to apply for Future Talent?

The programme is aimed at colleagues working at grade 4 or 5.

What time commitment is required?

The programme will run between mid October and June. It will take an average of 3-4 hours per week; some weeks may need more and others may not need any at all.   

When is the deadline to apply?

Applications for DSE Future Talent can be submitted throughout the year.  Applications received by Friday 21 August will be considered for the following cycle which will begin mid October.  Places will be confirmed in week beginning 7 September. 

Is there a formal assessment?

No, there isn’t a formal assessment.  Participants are expected to attend all group workshops as well as undertaking a work based project.  You will provide an interim update on the project work and deliver a presentation at the end of the programme. 

When is the deadline to submit a project proposal?

Project proposals can be submitted throughout the year.  Proposals received by Friday 28 August will be considered for the following cycle which will begin mid October.  Projects will be confirmed by mid September. 

Is there a way I can find out more about Future Talent?

If you are interested in applying to take in DSE Future Talent, you can sign up to attend an online briefing session which will take place on Wednesday 22 July at 10am. Please complete the MS Form with your details and you will receive a diary invite ahead of the meeting.
