Induction

All new starters in the DSE can expect a detailed induction programme. This is designed to help you settle quickly into your new role and will include the following support.

The University Induction is designed to introduce you to the University of Manchester. 

In the DSE we have an Online Induction to introduce you to our large directorate and the teams that sit within in. 

Each Division has its own Induction Materials outlined below:

Colleagues adopting Hybrid Working in the DSE should also familiarise themselves with the DSE Hybrid Working Health and Safety Induction.

Local Inductions arrangements will be put in place by your Line Manager to introduce you to the team you work in. 

We are keen to hear about your joining experience so you’ll be sent a short survey asking for your feedback around your eighth week of working here.  The survey link is unique to you and will be sent by our survey partners The People Experience Hub, from the email address surveys@pxemails.com. You can be assured this is a legitimate survey being run on our University’s behalf.
