Long service awards

The University values staff loyalty and Faculties and Directorates are also encouraged to mark individual contributions to the University.

Staff who will reach 25 or 40 years continuous service with the University of Manchester, (which may include continuous service with either of the legacy institutions), will receive either gift vouchers worth £400 or 5 additional days of annual leave (pro rata for part-time staff). Eligible staff are contacted a couple of months before their anniversary by People & OD Operations. If you reach your anniversary and have not been contacted, please inform People & OD Operations as soon as possible so they can ensure your award is processed and sent to you.

If you select additional annual leave this must be taken within 12 months of the date of your anniversary and cannot be paid instead.
