Staff network spotlight: women's groups

19 Feb 2020

This month we look at women's groups available for staff to join

Women's support groups

Under the Staff Network Group Umbrella we have a number of different networks which connect women and focus on the careers and experiences of our female members of staff.

These groups are:

Each of the groups have their own remit and engage in different activities throughout the year.  These vary from raising awareness of barriers to progression for female staff in their particular area; to inviting guest speakers to deliver speeches and seminars; to contributing to the various Athena SWAN SAT teams in different faculties and departments.

You can click through to each group to find out more details and learn about their activities. All of the groups are always looking for new members, input and ideas, so take a look what they are doing and see how you can be involved. They are fully inclusive and welcome input and participation from all staff members and gender identities.

With International Women’s Day taking place on 8 March there will be plenty of associated activities, both via the groups and generally at our University – look out for more details on StaffNet.
