What is the deadline for nominations?

Nominations for 2025 will open in the Autumn 2024, deadline to be confirmed.

Who can nominate a colleague?

Any member of staff can nominate any other individual or team from within the DSE, except themselves or their own team. Managers can, however, nominate their own team and/or team members. For the category of 'Supporter of the Year' nominations are encouraged for colleagues from within the wider University community, but outside of the DSE.

Can previous nominees / winners be nominated again?

Nominations are very welcome for previous nominees who didn’t go on to win an award, particularly where there is evidence of additional contribution and impact in line with the new award categories.

Nominations for previous winners should only be considered if there has been a substantial development in their contribution or involvement in a new project or initiative that aligns to the new award categories.

Past winners / nominees can be found in the dedicated pages.

Each judge will review and score the nominations independently before the panel meets. The panel will take into account the chosen award category and judge each nomination against the associated nomination criteria.

The judging panel will also discuss if any of the nominations should be considered for submission to the University's Distinguished Achievement Awards.
