Prepare for the new way to access teaching software: Join an AppsAnywhere demo
18 Aug 2025
In September and early October, we are offering online demonstrations of AppsAnywhere, the University’s portal for accessing IT-supported teaching and learning software applications.

AppsAnywhere was introduced across PC clusters last year, and from September 2025 will also be available on students’ personal laptops and PCs, and IT-managed staff devices. This will make it easier than ever to access the tools needed for teaching and learning, wherever our colleagues and students are.
The demonstrations are open to all staff, and we particularly encourage you to attend if you are involved in teaching, lesson delivery, or if you support students with their studies.
What you’ll learn
Whether you’re new to AppsAnywhere, or looking to refresh and update your knowledge, the demos will cover:
- Accessing AppsAnywhere from Cluster PCs and your IT-managed staff device
- How students can access some apps from their laptops and PCs
- Key functionality, including how to create and share app lists
- Support information

If you use software applications on your course:
- There are steps you will need to take to encourage your students to use AppsAnywhere to access all IT-supported T&L applications from September 2025.
- It’s important to check that the software you need will be available from the start of term. See this StaffNet article for more information: Teaching & learning software for 2025/26 - what will be available and how to access it.
