Get involved on Giving Tuesday

21 Nov 2019

On Tuesday 3 December, the world will celebrate #GivingTuesday, a global day to do ‘good stuff’ where everyone can do something to support the good causes and communities that mean so much to them.

Giving Tuesday

Give is one of the University’s Six ways to Wellbeing and across the campus there will be plenty of events to mark Giving Tuesday and help you discover new ways of giving. Staff and students can attend talks by charities DePaul and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf; attend a swap shop and bake sale; learn CPR or take part in a ‘crafternoon’ for MIND.

Other ways to give that will be highlighted, include volunteering or donating to Lemn Sissay’s Christmas Dinner Project; donating a toy to the Wood Street Mission; supporting research and students at the University via the University’s Access programme; donating to your favourite charity via our Payroll Giving Scheme; getting involved a social responsibility programme; raising awareness or giving a shout out on social media about your favourite causes or by simply inspiring your friends and colleagues to do something to support a good cause!

We are encouraging everyone to use their lunch break to pop along to one of our many events and line managers are encouraged to support their staff attending these sessions.

  • Volunteer Hosts for Christmas Day
  • A Chef
  • Buy a gift via their Amazon wishlist
