Introducing an improved way to find research funding opportunities

Track and share funding opportunities, get funding alerts and more with Research Professional R-P Pivot – a new version of Research Professional, with a more user-friendly interface and additional features.

Our University has upgraded to RP-Pivot, a new version of the Research Professional funding database, which has a more user-friendly interface and additional features.

RP-Pivot is a searchable database of research funding opportunities, which allows you to:

  • Track and share funding opportunities
  • Set up funding alerts, linked to your own research interests
  • Identify potential collaborators
  • Browse previously awarded grants
  • Find dissemination opportunities (conferences, calls for papers).

The existing version of Research Professional will remain available in parallel until 31 December 2026. 

What you need to do

Existing Research Professional accounts are not automatically transferred to RP-Pivot. All users will need to set up a new account.

Once you have done this, you will be prompted to claim your profile. This creates a link between your RP-Pivot account and external research profile, to help to identify opportunities linked to your research activity and interests.

You can edit your profile to add keywords, links and affiliations and connect your ORCiD, to further tailor searches.

Support and guidance

Training and guidance materials and video tutorials are available via the Pivot-RP  Knowledge Centre and the Clarivate team can provide technical assistance.

You can also use Pivot-RP to create bespoke newsletters or alerts for your own research group or team.

Important to note

The existing version of Research Professional will remain available in parallel until 31 December 2026.

Clarivate have announced they will discontinue the publication of Research Professional News at the end of 2026. As a result, the News will no longer be available as part of this service.
