Are you looking to strengthen your teaching and public engagement experience and have an impact on the educational outcomes of local young people?
The Brilliant Club are offering flexible, paid roles that allow you to do this alongside your research.
“Each session has been a journey of discovery, not only for the students but for myself as well,” explains tutor, Celestina Atom.
The Brilliant Club is a university access charity that supports less advantaged students aged 8-18 years old.
It is now recruiting researchers (Doctoral and ECRs) to tutor on The Scholars Programme during the 2026-27 academic year. The deadline for applications is Sunday, 25 October.

How does it work?
Tutors deliver a research-based course to a group of seven pupils through a series of university-style tutorials. Before the programme starts, Tutors undergo comprehensive pedagogical training and receive further support throughout.
Many tutors use their experience to support an Associate Fellowship of Advance HE application.
Tutors are paid from £600 per placement, with an additional payment for designing a Scholars Programme course based on your own research (plus London weighting). Travel expenses are also paid.
